All our rectangular skylights are available in standard or ventilated models. With our ventilated skylights we use a custom built perforated surface around the under-side flange of the skylight. This allows the skylight to naturally ventilate and contributes to a balanced inner home environment.
Our skylight domes are made from 100% High Impact UV Stabilised Acrylic which has been thermally formed. Thermally forming the dome guarantees a long life span and allows us to offer a lifetime warranty with all our skylight. Each base is made from one continuous piece of Zincalume steel which has been press formed to give complete weather resistance. If you are installing a standard rectangular skylight you will be provided with 1.3 metres of aluminium light reflective foil duct. Should your particular ceiling cavity require more reflective foil duct we can provide that as well.
As with our range of round and square skylights we provide a choice of three diffusers with our rectangular skylights:
- Opal – a full-white diffuser which is perfect for areas where you want the softest possible light
- Half-Opal – an off-white diffuser which provides for approximately 30% more light than a standard opal diffuser
- Prismatic – by far the most popular choice, the prismatic diffuser is a clear rippled plastic which diffuses the light into the largest area possible.
